Custom Table of Contents

Custom Table of ContentsIt would be very nice to be able to create a custom table of contents, kind of like a menu. Here is my application.I have a long list of pages that are in a common Appendix to several courses. Each page defines an item that has a name and letter-number code (BC05 for example). I need to be able have an alphabetic list as well as a numbered list. I can label the pages in the left pane and get one of these but not the other. Seems like it should not be too hard to create something like this using the existing TOC technology and provide a simple user interface to load the TOC instead of generating it. For each entry I should be able to specify the page to jump to and an OPTIONAL name. (I say optional because there may come a day when I just want the pages with existing names in a different order.)Menu's don't work because:- they are not scrollable- don't have the tree view that stays openthanks, benEdited By: bpitman on 2006-5-7 9:43:17
