Subdomains

Ben,You don't have to register a subdomain, but you do have to own the actual domain (whatever.com) It depends on who is hosting your site, but most will let you add on 30 or so for free. You can send email to a subdomain something like you@subdomain.yoursite.com, it depends on who you are hosting with, but once a subdomain is set up you would have to go set up mail for it like you would with a regular domain name.
