Copying and pasting from PowerPoint

I have a client who has a lot of graphics (SmartArt) in PowerPoint. They need to be copied to Lectora as .pngs because of the transparency. But when I copy from PPT and paste into Lectora as a .png, the graphic gets about 50% bigger. I know I can go through Photoshop or SnagIt, but was looking for some way to do it directly from PPT. I have already tried setting the Image Size and Quality to 96ppi but to no effect. Anyone have any ideas?
