Using Lectora as a Graphics Converter?

Tecocat....I think as a sort-of solution to compression, you could take out the original .bmp files and substitute a copy of the compressed .jpg file.I'd however, copy the original .bmp file and keep it in the project folder for archival purposes because if you want to resize the image from the compressed .jpg version you'll get what you anticipated - a picture built out of Lego Blocks!Secondly, when you publish the course, go to the compression tab and uncheck for images after you swap these out and Lectora won't attempt to compress them again, however, this is an "all" or "nothing" switch for images. So if you needed to compress other images, the will not get the same treatment. Personally, I compress my images first and don't leave that to Lectora. I use Fireworks, but an excellent, and might I say, FREE program is Irfanview (irfanview.com) and that program can compress fine for you and do batch compreses, is easy to use, etc.Hope this helps.Edited By: whorah on 2009-2-19 10:47:40
