Stopping video/animation from "resetting"

I have a video animation (.avi file) that I have set to appear and play after the learner has a few seconds to read some introductory text. (The animation provides an illustration of what they've just read.) The problem that I have is that, once the video ends, it "resets" itself back to the beginning, rather than staying on the final image of the video (which is the "result" of the animation, and what I want the learner to be left with). I've had this problem in the past and came up with a workaround for it. (I snag the final image as a static picture, then I have actions timed so that, at the end of the animation, they hide the animation object and show the static image in its place.) But this is a fair amount of extra work and I'm really hoping that there's some way to just keep the video from going back to the beginning when it's done playing. Can anyone tell me if that's possible and, if so, how to do that? I'd be really grateful!LauraP.S. I think I've had this problem with other types of animations, too, like animated .gifs and Flash animations...
