Despite your detailed explanation, I still cannot say that I fully understand your situation, so take my advice with a grain of salt.But, if you have a developer who is still using 2007, then it seems to me that you should stick with 2007 for now. While you are anticipating that he'll upgrade to 2008 any time now, there are circumstances where the upgrade does not happen smoothly. Once you both switch, then you could just work in 2008. I do not know how easy it is to convert, but I understand that it works pretty well. And, as you say, a backup does wonders to remove doubt.KevinStill waiting for his 2008 to be installed.
