As posted elsewhere, you should be backing up frequently - at least daily. I have Winzip set up to backup all my .awt files several times an hour - not because of the above but because I frequently clobber a good one and need to go back 15 minutes. $50 for Winzip has saved many many MANY hours of teeth grinding.
