referencing lectora variable

Beginning to learn a little now.number6 is set in Lectora and therefore does not appear on that particular page so when trying to reference it, it is undefined.To solve this I have learned that on the page I can set an action as followsOn show modify variable 'getnumber6' with the contents of Var(number6).Then if I slightly alter code above as follows I'm fine and dandy. Still interested to know if you can access variables which are set in lectora but haven't been mentioned on that page. Anyone know?
