Magnifying Glass/ Magnify Image effect?

Ok, so I know that you can use the zoom in/out action to enlarge images, but I’ve found that it really isn’t very clean to use. There’s no way to really mask/crop the zoomed in image, and no way for the user to move the zoomed image around.

I was looking at something like this:

http://thecodeplayer.com/walkthrough/magnifying-glass-for-images-using-jquery-and-css3

and was wondering if there was a tool similar to this in Inspire. It seems like a feature that a lot of people could use, and may already exist, I just couldn’t figure it out.

Any thoughts or suggestions would be appreciated.

Hello Joe,

I just used a script like this in one of my projects. I will upload a small example.

Just have a look at it - maybe it helps...

Cheers,

Marco

Great script. All you have to do is essentially swap out the images for your own course graphics. However, it'd be cool to add this functionality to images pasted directly in the course, so they're easier to manipulate. I was considering this for part 5 of my 4-part blog on JQuery and Lectora, maybe I have to do an 'encore' :)

That is a great script! Thanks!
