Yes, it certainly helps to have design and technical background to avoid issues of having to go back in and make changes once you are ready to post it to the web after you find out about the file sizes and web server issues from your IT dept. One reason for putting this feature in for audio/video as well as images was due to the number of issues we dealt with in support due to slow download/display of pages. Images were a big one as well as people would take a photo with a 10 megapixel camera and then bring that photo into their title, as a picture that size really needs to be sized down to accommodate the download time.
