Word opens in popup, PDF opens in parent

I'm not sure why but I ran into the same inconsistency and I needed the files to open in their own window. My workaround was to hardcode the url into my hyperlinks so that I could tell it to launch in it's own window. If I attach the files to the title then the files go into the root html directory upon publishing so as long as I don't change the root url it works okay and I don't have to remember to copy/paste the files any where.Russ
