Mysterious delay between first 4 pages of my lesson

Hello folks,
This is my first lesson with Lectora X. I am encountering a rather perplexing issue when clicking next page for the first four pages of this lesson.
It occurs in all preview modes and also when SCORM published. There is approximate a three second delay between each of these first few pages. There is nothing complex (minimal graphics, text, and typical inheritances) on these pages, so I doubt it is a loading issue.
If I navigate to these pages, using the TOC, they appear faster. This problem is consistently repeatable, meaning going back/forth between these pages does not become faster (it's not a question of caching content).
I never encounter such a problem in Lectora 2005 (I don't have a copy of this version to compare).
This is not a critical situation, I am just wondering if anyone else has encountered anything like this.
