"Action: Launch a program/document" Attached file causing course to crash
October 5, 2010 12:00 AM
Yet another major problem.
This error occurs on all browsers when the course is published.
On the Mac, when a button is pressed to access an embedded or "Additional File", the course just abruptly ends.
In Windows Firefox, the same button press causes the course to abruptly end with the following error message:
"Xml parsing error: no element found (error code 3), line 1, column 1 of file"
The button logic is as follows:
On Click
....Action: Launch a program/document
....Target (not used)
....checked box - Use Attached File
....Attached File: PDF Document
This and other similar buttons work perfectly in Run mode. In Preview F11, the document will open but the course page will close, and in Preview in Browser F9 the page stops and the PDF does not load.
Any thoughts?
