Considering a switch from Adobe Captivate 4 to Lectora
November 11, 2009 12:00 AM
I just downloaded Lectora Pro Publishing Suite trial and it looks like not much has changed since Lectora 2005. This is both good/bad... I was hoping that the latest version could record software simulations (both demo and interactive). I know I can do this with Captivate but even Captivate is not a great tool for this on account of the fact that Captivate 4 recordings are separate... meaning that if I am recording both a non-interactive demo and an interactive test simulation, I must edit call-outs separately for both videos. This is really annoying. On the contrary, RWD uPerform or KA (Knowledge Accerator), records as one recording and a software switch determines which mode to play back.
