Buttons stop working after audio completes
March 13, 2012 12:00 AM
Hello all,
I am experiencing a very odd problem with two pages in one of my lessons.
Only when the audio has completed, most of the learner interactions (buttons) will no longer work. This only occurs if the audio is allowed to complete.
NOTES:
- The problem only occurs in the published version (SCORM 2004).
- There are no problems in Run (F10) OR Preview Mode (F11)
- I have observed the actions and triggers in Debug mode and found nothing that would cause any problems with these pages.
What I have tried:
- changed the audio files
- changed about 60% of the content and actions (by breaking up the page into two separate pages)
- tested in both Firefox and Chrome (latest editions)
To reiterate:
This problem *only* occurs if the audio (on either page) is allowed to complete. Otherwise, the learner can freely navigate backwards and forwards on either page.
Additionally, the only buttons that still work are:
- Table Of Contest (displays list of pages only but will not navigate to another page)
- Audio controller
- Full page button
- Help button
- Close button
- References link
More details:
The pages are functionally identical and follow this order (see title explorer in screen capture):
1. img_C1_MadTech, txt_OpeningText appear and hides (a) action bar
2. txtbox_C1_SupportTicket appears
3. txt_C1_TickExamp_a appears when triggered by FLV event and On Show, show txt_C1_TickExamp_b
… there are various other actions but nothing unusual on this page.
At the end, there are two: "ON: Done Playing" (audio) actions:
a. Show action bar (a) – letters indicated on screen capture
b. Show Grp_buttons (b)
Once the audio has completed, if the student clicks any of the following buttons: Navigation buttons (Previous Page, Next Page), table of contents (TOC) button, or Reset page button…
…the ONLY result that occurs is, inexplicably, the Action bar vanishes (there are no actions that would cause this).
Please see attached screen captures for more.
Thank you,
