Making my own fancy-pants text boxes?

Hello all,

This is purely theoretical, at the moment, but thoughts/ideas... or just plain shoot me down is welcome.

I realize that Lectora supports the .emf (vector graphic format) and I am wondering if this graphics format is the key to replacing the 'ugly' square text boxes?

My though it I can:

1. Create nicer (some shading/rounded edges) text boxes in Illustrator.

2. Then save as .emf.

3. Create a transparent text box in Lectora.

4. Insert .emf inside transparent text box.

5. Set margins for transparent text box so that text does not overlap .emf graphic.

6. Save this text/graphics box as library object (for quick future recall).

Questions:

1. Does this sound like a good idea?

2. How can I make the embedded .emf automatically scale proportionately with the size of the transparent text box? Probably a manual thing??

The important criteria is that it needs to be as easy to use as a normal stock text box.

Thank you for your opinion(s)!
