Lectora X (Pro Suite) VS Adobe Captivate 4 for software simulation?
January 26, 2010 12:00 AM
I believe I have an answer to my question and that is.... stick with Captivate!
I downloaded Lectora Pro Suite X and had a look at what $1000 more offers. I am really puzzled. Perhaps someone can enlighten me?
As far as I can tell, $1000 more gets you the following tools: Audio Editor, Image Editor, Screen Camera, Screen Capture Tool, and Video Editor.
Without exception, all these tools are shockingly basic. There are shareware and open source equivalents that are vastly superior to each of these tools.
So why spend an extra $1000 when you can get:
- Audacity to replace Audio Editor
- Paint.net to replace Image Editor (OMG, this is Windows Paint!!)
- Camtasia to replace Screen Camera (not free but it is still inexpensive)
- Gadwin Screen Print to replace Screen Capture Tool
- ZS4 Video Editor to replace Video Editor.
Am I missing something?
