Lectora Licensing problem
May 31, 2010 12:00 AM
Has anyone encountered the message, "The Maximum Number of Authorized Registrations for this serial number has been exceeded."?
As a legitimate owner, there is little more annoying than getting a message like that! To make matters worse, Trivantis is not even open today! So how do I solve this problem when I cannot obtain support??
I suspect this error is the result of having a new computer (so Lectora X was re-installed).
But going forward, I should NOT have to obtain permission from Trivantis for any time I move Lectora to a new computer. If Lectora is going to bother checking for a valid license, at least give the legitimate owner access to a web page where licenses can be corrected... or some form of self-service to prove legitimacy. Or, at least allow for a 30 grace period... as a minimum LIKE any other application! This is absolutely ridiculous!
My only alternative is to run a demo version in a VMWare VM.
