Issue publishing with short file names

I think there is a glitch with the option 'Generate short ASCII HTML page names' in the SCORM publish options.When I click the option it works fine and the names publish short. Now when I come back to this course later and click publish again, the check box is still there, but when I publish, I get the long file names anyway.To fix this I have to uncheck the box and check it again every time I need to publish to SCORM. I was wondering if anyone else has noticed this.
