Launching a PDF

I know I have done this with no issue before, but I am having a little issue now. I want to set up a hyperlink that launches a PDF file when clicked. I added the PDF as an additional file to the course. My problem is I want the PDF to open as a pop up in another window, instead, it launches in the course window and then the user can't get back to the course.
