Creating a skin for videos

Hello,
This is something I don't really have experience with but what is involved in making a new video player skin or disabling certain features in the current skins.
Basically, we have videos out there on courses that use the standard skins. We don't want people to be able to scrub through the video because we sent a lot of event triggers and if you scrub through the video text calls go crazy and things overlap (If there is a way to address this besides flash or 20 actions, I'd love to hear what others do). However, I don't want to hide the skin all together because the pause/play function and letting the student see the movement of the slider lets them know how much is left in the video.
Usually I just put a transparent button over the slider so that they can't click on it. I was just wondering if there was a more eloquent way of doing this by maybe setting something to false in the skin, or making a skin that shows a current time in video/Total time in video instead of the slider.
I'm curious to see how other people handle videos that have text and images showing at certain points. I know with Storyline or flash this is easier because the whole page is basically one large flash file or video file. In Lectora this type of interact makes it hard to let people rewind a video.

A) Add EXT HTML OBJECT, set it to META TAGS, edit, paste this:

This should leave the scrubber visible but make it non-interactive, learners won't be able to click and scrub.
Also, this is a quick note for you Jennifer. One simple enhancement request when it comes to videos...
Can we get an update that accounts for the size of the video skin in the video side for us? For Example, I have a video that is 640x360. If I add the player to it, the video will get a black bar on the left and right. I then have to manually change the video size to 640x380 (or x390 depending on the player I use) to compensate for the height of the player itself.
The video should resize itself as you change skins.
Thanks,
Laz
@sirwise23 Suggestion submitted! Thanks for the feedback :)
@Sergey This works great on Chrome but doesn't seem to work at all on IE. Is there a command that works for both or a second tag that can be put in to cover IE as well?
Thanks
Hello! Thank you so much for this simple and elegant solution. It worked for me in Firefox and IE. Is there a way to allow the scrubber to go backward but not forward? So someone could repeat what just played but no go forward?
