Guide Lines

I was curious as too what controls the Guide Lines? When I create a new course, sometimes I notice the Guide Lines in place, sometimes I do not. Are they saved to the course, or to Lectora? Is there a way to copy the guides over from another course? I have A LOT of them... and they are down to the pixel.
