JRE Issue when using Publisher 4.1 and 5

I'm publishing to SCORM and am getting an error now where, when I click "OK" on the scorecard popup (Publisher 4.1), the popup closes but the main window (which is supposed to be sending the score to the LMS) - freezes.I was viewing in the latest IE browser for Windows.(v6.0.2900...)Just on a hunch, I viewed in Firefox (v1.0.6) and the course sent the score back to the LMS without a hitch. The only JRE I have installed on my PC is: J2SE Runtime Environment 5.0 Update 5Any idea what could be going on here? The rest of my peers are able to view the course correctly in IE no problem? Thanks -KevinEdited By: kstagg on 38642.7911805556

To use the testing, form submittal, AICC/SCORM communication, and/or email submission features of Lectora published HTML content, the Lectora content must use LiveConnect internet functionality. This functionality allows Javascript and Java to freely interchange data on a website. The client's browser will need to have the java plugin installed (Microsoft JVM or Sun)

Upon loading our Publisher 4.1, SCORM-published course into an LMS, the latter course would not load on my new PC. It would "freeze" on the load screen ater pressing the launch button. The requirements for the LMS are only that the browser be IE 5.5 (one browser example which so happens to be the client's preferred browser) and that javascript be turned on. I asked a friend of mine to view it on his PC at home and he said, using Firefox, had no problems. So I loaded Firefox and lo and behold, received a message saying I had to uploaded the latest JRE from Sun Microsystems as it wasn't loaded on my PC. Once I did this - no more problems. Funny how IE never gave me this message about the JRE. Anyway, once I downloaded latest SUN JRE, course loaded fine in both Firefox and IE. My questions are two-fold. Do Publisher 4.1 (and 5.0) require a JRE, and would Microsoft VM be an option instead of Sun's JRE? Many thanks - Kevin
