PDF creates black PDF for page one

Sometimes when I print to PDF, the first slide comes out with a black background (see pic). I end up having to 'print' it again, sometimes even having to print/save it with a different file name. It doesn't stop me in my tracks, but it is annoying.
Does this happen to anyone else? Is there a fix for it?
