Pick Up Where You Left Off

Anyone else having and issue where the "Prompt the user to navigate to the last viewed page" box is checked, but when someone returns to the course it takes them to the beginning of the course?

We are having this issue in multiple browsers and it seems to only be in the last few weeks.

Not sure...we are testing new and old courses in multiple browsers using different settings to see if we can pinpoint the cause.

We found this in the list of Known Issues, but are still working for a resolution:

"Bookmarking for SPP and no Lightbox Pop Up does not return you to where you were"

Could it be LMS related? Especially if it's a cloud-based LMS (i.e., Cornerstone), there may have been some changes on the back-end that blew up settings for the course there.

If it's on the known issues list I would suggest contacting Support. They'll usually have information on how or why the issue is being created along with an alternative solution if one is found.

Do you have Web Accessibility turned on? Or in the publish options, do you have Lightbox windows turned off?

The bug appears when you have RCD enabled but Lightbox off. You need both to be turned on for bookmarking to work. We hope to have this fixed in our next service pack.

We believe the following combination is working for us:

Under the title options:

  1. Disable – Accessibility Settings
  2. Enable – Retain tracking status between sessions
  3. Enable – Enable Responsive Title

...with 'Lightbox' turned off.

I have a title that has not got RCD enabled and bookmarking wasn't working on our LMS until I enabled Lightbox.

Just curious, what LMS are you using?

It's one called AtlasCloud. It's not a big or well known one. Everything worked fine until very recently. definitely a bug introduced in a recent version of lectora.
