Maybe one of you knows about the Internet Explorer and can explain the following.
On one of my pages I modify a variable to build a string out of severral substrings. When the user clicks a button a page opens in a new window. This page contains a textfield that shall display the variable.
It works very well in Firefox.
If I open the page in IE (right-click -> Open with... IE) and click the button to open the popup the textblock will display the variable with its initial value "0" and won't display the string the variable contains.
If I open the IE first and drag & drop the page from the Windows Explorer into the Browser window everything's fine.
There can't really be a technical difference between these two ways of opening a .html-page?
