How to concatenate carriage returns

Kevin and Ben,Thanks to Kevin's post on another string, I've been ablet to get \r to work, but only when I'm using several Modify Variable commands to add the \r to an existing Variable. If I go to the Manage Variable screen and add \r as the intial value, I don't get a line break; instead I get "textrtext". Lectora seems to drop one slash and the run the text up against the line break characters. Any thoughts on adding a line break to the initial value of a variable?
