Intellectual property and button images

Perhaps I should go hit up a lawyer for this question, but I thought I'd take the temperature of the people in the industry first. Is there any legal issues with using buttons, images, etc., that come with other software? For example, in addition to Lectora, our department also uses Captivate and RoboHelp for other tasks. Between these three applications, I have a fair number of pregenerated buttons, Flash objects, and background graphics. So, does anyone have any warnings against using these items in other applications? Is it a violation of the use of Lectora if I really like a button that came with the software and import it into a web page created in RoboHelp? If these items are considered public, I would love to compile a library of graphics and buttons that require less work on my end. *grin*Kevin
