Intellectual property and button images

I would carefully read the licensing agreement that comes with the software. I'm sure it says somewhere in there what is and isn't acceptable use. My guess is that the licensing agreement stipulates that the work is for use with that software only. If they went to the trouble of making it, they'll want to protect it and if they licensed it from someone else, there are most likely restrictions on the use of the work defined in the original agreement. I worked for a company that bought, sold and licensed clip art. Believe me, nobody gives the stuff away for free without strings attached. Or it they do, you don't want to touch it.The odds are pretty slim that you'd ever have any trouble, but what a drag if it ever came to light, and you had to pay fines or replace all those buttons! I say better safe than sorry!
