How to check Internet Explorer Version

Hi Guys,
I have built a course which will only run in Internet Explorer version greater than 6. Some of my users still have IE 6 installed on their computers.
Now I want my course to check the IE version every time a user launch a course and give them some kind of message if they are using IE 6.
Any suggestions?
