Multiple Certificates per Course
October 6, 2016 12:00 AM
Perhaps this is an enhancement request, but I'll start here: Is there any way to have CourseMill manage multiple certificates for one course? And, have them accessible from within Transcript page.
For example, we deliver a training which offers continuing education credits in multiple disciplines. Due to the need to provide unique disclosures for each discipline, the generic certificate of completion will not suffice.
Currently, we solve this problem by embedding the unique certificates within each course - directing users to the correct page based on their discipline. The problem with this is twofold:
- We still need users to receive the stock/generic certificate of completion; however, when this gets automatically sent to the users seeking the detailed CE-specific certificate, there is confusion.
- The certificates are not easily accessible. If a user forgets to print their certificate, or wishes to go back to do so at a later date, they need to re-open the course, navigate to the page, etc. And, if they have taken multiple courses, they need to go to different locations to acquire each.
I apologize if I've posted this in the past, but I don't believe there's been a viable solution to this point, and this is an issue for which I would very much appreciate a more simple solution.

Thanks!

Unfortunately, CourseMill cannot send two certificates, or even two page certificates. However some people have found that they can also make a certificate inside the course that can pop-up in a new windows, that the users can print.
I will submit this as an enhancement for multiple certificates.
Please let me know if this helps.
Thank you, Nicholas. Your suggestion is our current workaround, but this means users must to go to different locations for their individual certificates instead of having a single repository for all. Not to mention the confusion between there being an in-course certificate vs. the certificate available on the Transcript tab/e-mailed to them.
