MS Edge and SkipNav

MS Edge is not triggering the skipnav correctly. When you hit enter when it is in focus, the focus continues through the top navigation rather than going to the content (or next button).
I usually run into this issue with Chrome and IE, but surprisingly, it is actually working in those browsers. Everything always works in Firefox when it is programmed correctly.
Does anyone have any insight?
