Help with custom skin video player

Hello,

I can't seem to get a custom skin to load within Lectora Online. I can get it to import fine, but once I choose my new skin it never update in either run or publish preview.

I have followed the instructions in the following places:

https://blog.elearningbrothers.com/skinning-lectoras-new-html5-based-media-player

https://rockstars.elearningbrothers.com/discussion/443097/custom-audio-player-skin-issue

https://rockstars.elearningbrothers.com/discussion/341674/audo-and-media-player-skins-missing-can-039-t-add-either

https://www.trivantis.com/help/Lectora_Online/4.10/en/HelpHTMLs/index.html#6480.html%3FTocPath%3DAppendix%7C_____3

I've attached a bar bones sample of what I am working on plus the CSS and sprite sheet I have made (the lectora pacakge and associated files are all in the attached zip). I've tried updating the CSS sheet with the double underscore, but also tried it with the hyphen.

Can anyone help me understand what I am missing??

Thanks!

There is minimal documentation for this. I am also struggling with the same thing.

Here is an example custom player skin that works in Lectora Online. Hope this helps. We plan on providing some awesome modern skins very soon.

Hi Carl, we do, and we want to give you some better defaults and allow downloading of the default player skins so they can be customized which may be easier. We have tasks to update the documentation and I will also put a note to remove any old outdated documentation as well.

Thanks. I'm a documentation nerd--when I was working in the software business, I was the writer of all help files, tooltips, etc. (also box copy, magazine and banner ads, etc--it was a tiny company). I'm old enough to remember how amazingly useful the documentation from WordPerfect 5.1 was, for that matter.

Do you plan to ever document the skin format and how it works?
