Disappearing Pictures

I am using the 2007 version of Lectora Enterprise and have come across the following issue: I am using numerous jpg images and when I am in build mode and run mode they show up on the screens just fine. (All are marked as "on top" and I have layered them to the front.) However, when I publish the file to a single file executable some of the pictures disappear from the finished product. I have then gone back in and double-checked all of them, made sure they were layered on top again, etc.and then republished and now different pictures that were there before are now not showing up. I ran this issue by one of the Lectora instructors in a class recently and she couldn't figure it out either.up. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.
