Background Problems

Hello all. I am having an issue with my background paneling across the entire screen. Here is what happens: I have my background image set at 786x484. If I, on every individual page, add the background as an image, I don't have any problems. The background comes up, looks fine, and everything fits within the confines of the 800x600 CBL window. If, however, I set the background using the Background tab(at any level - Title, chapter, page - it does not matter), whenever I publish to html, the background fits into the space of the CBL, but then tiles across the rest of the entire screen, similar to what it looks like if you set a smaller image(i.e. 600x400) as a background and tiled it. I would like to be able to set the background one time instead of adding the image to every single page, but I cannot seem to figure out why it keeps messing up. Anyone have any ideas?
