Synching mp3 with swf to allow replaying or fast forwarding

Hi,
I have an mp3 and a corresponding swf on a page. When the page loads both files start automatically and are in synch (This is a recording of a presentation with a build like a PPT slide). What I want to do, is to have a control (i.e. slider) that allows me to move the backward or forward to either replay a portion of the presentation or move through a portion of the presentation.
I know that I can make visible the controller on the audio; however, if I'm halfway through the presentation on the page and I want to relisten to something, moving the control only moves the audio back and not the swf file causing the two to be out of synch (assume that the swf is not a static page and that it has a build on it). So now my page would be showing some builds but the audio is talking about something else.
1. How can I synch the two together and have a control to move both the audio and the swf?
2. Regardless of #1 above, if I include a Pause/Play button in my title, how can I affect both the audio and swf file to pause and play when the buttons are clicked?
thanks!
Ron
