Providing feedback on a Question
November 20, 2007 12:00 AM
I stepping in late here, but let me ask a few questions. Is this a pick many, multiple choice question?Your looking for immediate feedback for a click? Are you looking for immediate feedback on both correct and incorrect selections? Then your looking for feedback on the click of the submit button?Your setting a variable for each selection? How do you turn off the variable when the user unselects? When you say that your feedback message is displaying twice, How are you using the feedback...is it a built in feedback box for the question? This is what I've done:I've set up feedback in a popup page that is not shown in the course menu, they are all in a hidden chapter. On the question page, the selection boxes can have actions applied to them. I use that to show a custom message and point to the feedback page I created. This will show the feedback immediately. Then in the question setup dialag I choose no feedback for the question or show feedback depending on what I want to do. Usually it's another custom feedback box so I choose show custom feedback. On the Submit button I choose Process Question. This should allow you to have immediate custom feedback for each answer and then Feedback for whole question.
