KathleenSince you want to create audio in a separate editor, definitely download Audacity audacity.sourceforge.net/download/You'll find that it's very easy to record and edit the audio. Plus, you'll gain a huge amount of editing options.I don't really have suggestions for actions associated with audio. We only use audio to emphasize a point, and never "read" the text on-screen.
