Equipment to Record Audio

It depends... what's your budget? The sound card really shouldn't be the problem. You need good mics to do the recording, and normally mics that plug into a computer aren't good. Sure, you can get adequate results, but not great results. So, your options-1) Rent a sound booth from a local production studio. Normally you can get one for like $150-$250 for an hour or so.2) Buy a nice mic with XLR connections and a video camera with XLR audio ins and record it that way.3) Hire a Voice Over person. My 2 cents.
