Equipment to Record Audio

I agree with the suggestion to use Audacity. Not only is this an amazing audio program. It's often cited as the best free software available, period. I have Adobe Soundbooth, and there isn’t much in it that audacity doesn’t offer.Depending on what you’re creating, you can probably get away with spending very little. Using a physical sound booth to record in may be overkill for most people. As long as you have a quality mic and someone with a good voice, an office with the door closed is sufficient. If you’ve got a cramped office with bare walls, echo might become a problem though.
