HTML vs. SCORM Compliant

Hi Everyone -

I've typically hosted my SCORM compliant courses in our LMS (Docent). I've been advised by our technical group not to use our LMS for hosting (he also recommended I not use Lectora either but that's another story). My second thought was to publish the course in HTML. Right now, there's no assessments in the course. The course will be tracked by number of pages viewed. However, I would like the learners' completion status to appear in the LMS (I may need to have someone create a tool to 'talk' to our LMS) What are your thoughts on using HTML versus SCORM Compliant? -Thanks for your feedback. -Traci
