I have to revisit this topic.I got the Alert actions to function thanks to the above info. However, the Next Page command attached to the button refused to work after all that. The Alerts are attached to the Next Page button. The next page command is in the button properties. Conflict?The goal: require information in the form fields prior to advancing to the next page.
