Publish to EXE Error writing compressed resource to single file image
April 4, 2013 12:00 AM
Good morning,
This issue showed up today. My title has 2 .avi videos and 1 .mp4 video. File sizes are 4.6 Mb, 490.6 Mb, and 204.3 Mb respectively. I need to publish to EXE as the client wants to have the title available off the web.
I get this error message:
Error writing compressed resource to single file image.
It appears immediately following the "Compressing media" notice for the 2nd .avi. The Publish effort then stops.
Any ideas?

What if you disable compression? Maybe it's the converter that fails?
Hmm, it seems that unlike Publishing to HTML, where you can select whether you want Lectora to compress media files or not (in the Compression tab), you cannot do this when Publishing to EXE. Sorry for giving you false hope.
What does Trivantis Support say?
HI,
I don't understand your suggestion. Where would I find the capability to turn off compression for .avi and/or .mp4 videos?
If I can find it this might be the answer.
