Buttons with an attitude

2hawks - one advantage to the way it works now is that, if I decide I want to change the wording of a button that appears throughout my course (say I want to change "Check Me" to "Check Answer" or something), I only have to change it once and it automatically updates all of my buttons. Your way, I'd have to go and modify each separate graphic file. Building a new button with identical attributes (but different linking) is actually pretty easy right now, since the Button Wizard remembers the last setting you used when you built a button (e.g., it was rectangular, green, with Arial 10pt text, etc.). So, when you create a new button, a lot of times all you really need to do is change the text!Using several buttons with the same attributes/behaviors is something I do all the time, since I put a lot of manual work into my quiz questions. So, for example, I have Check Me and Give Up buttons in many different activities. Hope this helps clear things up a bit for you! Laura
