Automated Table Appearance Options

It would be nice if the table appearance wasn't based on CSS code and instead could be adjusted using the color picker or a similar feature.

Could the table as be formatted to match that of the font type and size designated on the Design ribbon, in the Default Text Styles. The table always comes in as font size 10.
