What's the deal with image resolutions and text size

Lectora V11.1

What's the deal:

- if I create a background image in Illustrator at 1009x662, export a PNG at 72dpi - import into Lectora - the image fits perfectly (1:1)

- if I create the same image in Illustrator export PNG at 96dpi, import into Lectora the image is too large and flows off screen.

- If I create the same image in Illustrator, write 12pt Arial text, export PNG at 72dpi, import into Lectora - the image comes in the right size, but the 12pt font is smaller than 12pt font typed in Lectora

- if I create the same image in Illustrator, write 12pt Arial text, export PNG at 96dpi, import into lectora - the image is too large, but the 12pt text matches 12pt text typed in Lectora.

Why wouldn't Lectora be consistent in how it handles this?

If you're going to base off 72dpi or 96dpi, pick one and go with it, don't just mix and match...
