Video caching... what really happens???

JZMan, believe me, I understand the frustrations. I am in the process of working on this perpetual course now as we speak. I think I made it WAY to complicated because I have interchangeable videos, that is you can choose to watch one over the other. That involves a lot of action scripts to offer one or the other and then I also display what I call "Key Learning Objectives" at timed intervals like a PPT would on the screen. However, because the user can choose to view the SMALL or MEDIUM video, these learning objectives need to be programmed to display at the given times two separate times, once for the SMALL video playback and once for the MEDIUM playback. The small video will pay on the right side of the screen with the learning objectives displaying on the left, and the MEDIUM video will play on the left with the learning objectives displaying at timed intervals on the right. As for caching, I think we showed that although both of my videos were programmed to potentially appear on the page, they were not cached until they were called. Therefore, BOTH videos were not cached (which is good and what I was hoping for). In fact they could both reside as callable (is that a word) and not burden the system.I am not sure why you are having difficulty in the HTML version of your launch. However, you need to ensure you have your media player updates done as well as check to see if you have the state of the video play back to initially start (visible) and also check if you have a button associated with the playback of the video to make sure it is calling the video right. In other words, check the details of what you did before we assume there is a problem with Lectora. I would also recommend not overlapping video playbacks in the same space. That is I would not overlap potential videos in the same area and only call one of them. I think this is a bit too complex for Lectora, although could be wrong. In my case, I positioned one video on the right and the other on the left and let the user click a button to call either one of them, yet each played in its own dedicated space. Did you try to overlap these? It may cause confusion.Check these things out and post back, I'll monitor the thread to see if I can help further. Look for answers by the other posters to this thread, there are some very experienced and knowledgable users in this forum.I'll look for your reply.
