Title Manager Frame and SCORM

Does the Title Manager Frame need to be selected for a title to work correctly in SCORM? I've always had JavaScript Title Manager and Title Manager Frame selected, but recently figured out that I had to turn off Title Manager Frame in order to get a file to work correctly in HTML. Anyone know if the course will work correctly in SCORM with JS Title Manager turned on but Title Manager Frame turned off? I can't test it in my LMS as I can't delete anything in there once it's uploaded. Thanks in advance.
