Tips for Events Synchronized to Audio

Hi All,When working on a recent and sizable project with narrations synchronized to events, we arrived at the following efficiencies that may be helpful:-We first built the event timings synchronized to synthesized speech files made from written scripts. We used TextAloud to produce the speech files.-During the development of those timings, we found that some things needed to be tweaked slightly and changed the written scripts.-We then put the draft course out for review and gathered comments.-Next, we incorporated those comments into the script/speech files and created another proof for approval.-Once approved, we then sent the final written scripts out for professional voiceover. Although the synthesized voices are good, we prefer the real deal. -One Lectora tip to keep/gain/guard your sanity with timings: Set all your events to screen actions outside the audio editor and place them in an action group, when possible. Then, just set a single event in the audio editor to run that action group. This can reduce the tedium of having to redo all of those events with each revision of the audio file. This also makes it more manageable to tweak the individual actions if you need to.I'm using Pro Suite 2008 SP2. Hope this helps.
