Revert to previously saved awt file?

Hello,
Is there a way to restore the awt to a previously saved awt file? The reason I ask is that my co-worker lost a day of work. When backing up her work at the end of the day, she inadvertently overrode her current file with Friday’s archived work and lost everything she did on Monday. Is there a way for her to restore her awt file to what it was at the end of the day Monday, before she overrode it with the old file? Thanks!
